With 2 bedrooms and one alcove area that can take a single bed (or bunks-better for kids), the apartment is best suited to 2-4 people although could take some kids as well. This cozy apartement is situated right at the foot of the Mont Blanc Range. Spectacular views over the Brevent and le Dome du Gouter. Come and discover Chamonix from the comfort of a real home, warm, comfortable and convenient.
Mountain Terrain in the area: Chamonix boasts many ski areas, Brevent and the Aiguille du midi are my favourites and are just walking distance (15mins) away (for snowboarders anyway) and the bus stop is just 150m away from the front door. The beginners/kids area is just 150m away at Les Planards, as well as easy access to the Montenvers train (200m) which brings you back from the Vallee Blanche or to the Mer de Glace for some sightseeing. The bus stop will allow easy access to Flegere, the world famous Grands Montets and the playful terrain of Le Tour at the end of the valley. Chambre 9, the skiers apres ski hangout is just 300m away. You can see why I chose this apartment! Also, Chamonix has a great geographical position anyway. Close to the borders of Italy and Switzerland, Courmayeur and Verbier are a stones throw away and are included on the Chamonix Unlimited lift pass so therefore offers good travelling potential during your stay. In addition to its skiing, Chamonix has great climbing, mountaineering, mountian biking, parapenting and hiking on offer so I am available for summer/ spring/autumn.

Owner profile: I am a 28 year old translator (working for boardsportsource magazine sometimes) from Great Britain and have lived in Chamonix for 5 years, in this apartment for 4 years. I love snowboarding. This is my first home so have everything I need here to live with my girlfriend (and visitors!) and we are extremely happy here. We love travelling and are trying to get into surfing especially. I just found it a shame to see my apartment unused when we go away and also, the chance to save on accommodation by house swapping is very attractive. We also really enjoy cooking so having a real home is a large benefit to us over having to live in hostels and eat out all the time/rent an expensive apartment.
