Moffat Beach is a suburb of Caloundra, with a population of about 80 000 which is part of the approx 300 000 population of the whole Sunshine Coast. There are ample shopping centres as well as other facilities such as banking, medical, library.
Our home has five bedrooms, 2 bathroom, study, living room, kitchen, dining room, rumpus room adjacent to BBQ area and pool plus 2 north facing elevated decks that always catch the cooling breeze. Enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens including veggie patch and fruit trees.
We have a range of surfboards and body boards, fishing gear for your use.
If it is not beach weather you can easily drive to the scenic hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Australia Zoo is only 20 minute drive. Glasshouse Mountains with nearby rainforest and waterfalls is a pleasant day trip. Noosa at the northern end of Sunshine Coast is another must do day trip.
Beaches in the area: There are several different beaches within 10 minute walk or easy 2 minute drive. Caloundra is located on the southern end of Sunshine Coast, one hour drive north of Brisbane. It is located around several headlands so you can usually find one of the local beaches with conditions suited to the weather. Surfing, both longboard and shortboard, as well as windsurfing in the Pumicestone Passage, are popluar here. It is an easy drive to one of the numerous other beaches on the Sunshine Coast that may be more suitable for the prevailing weather conditions.

Owner profile: Couple with three adult children who like to visit. We are high school teachers but looking to ease into retirement in next 5 years. Would like to travel during school holidays and extended leave over the next few years. Both are interested in environment issues.
